 The French Mediterranean seaside destination:

Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur (paca), is 600 miles of beaches, inlet and marinas, 50.000 acres od snow fields, forest and  more than 3000 hours a year of full sunlight.  It is also also 3 major airports, a direct full speed train (TGV) connection between Paris and Nice in a couple of hours and 3 majors harbors opening to the rest of the world.

Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur covers 6 administrative counties or departments (Var, Vaucluse, Bouche du Rhone, Hautes Alpes, Alpes de Haute Provence and Hautes alpes) and it is one of the biggest region of France.

We can distinct 3 major regions within the region :

  • The cote d’Azur : reknown for the famous French Riviera which stretches to the east from the city of Hyeres to the prestine village of Menton, the cote d’Azur is very well organized to welcome  to receive a very large tourist clientele. The cities and coastline abound with first class hotels, fine dining restaurants, chic little boutiques, fancy buildings and luxury villas. Each spring and summer, musicians and singers from all over the world come to Provence from festival to festival and produce themselves on stage, in differents local fieras or in the streets.

But on the west part of the coast, at the end of the Rhone river is also la Camargue and its keepers. Next are the pretty efficient harbors of Toulon (French navy base), Marseille (busy trade harbor) and Nice (leisure harbor). Those three harbors were also the three major gateways to Africa since ancient times.

  • La Provence : The heart of Provence is settled  in the hills that link the Mediterranean see to the impressive Alps where the rich vineyards produce those delicious wines like the Rose de Provence or the mont Ventou red wine. Those scenic paysages were the inspiration of many painters and artist like Cezanne who lived in Aix en Provence or van gogh inspired by Arles but also many more like Giono or  Chagall.

In Provence, you will be charmed by the singing accent of the locals like they follow the rhythm of the millions of cicadas you will here.

  • Les Alpes : What is amazing about this part of France is the ability of this region to give you more than you expect : if you drive one hour from the seashore up the mountains, you will be able to sky in the Alps and go up to 12 000 feet up into the mountain, enjoying clean pure fresh air of the winter months…

On the summer, you can also enjoy the mountain and do some “green Vacation trip” with horseback riding, follow the hiking path into the amazing scenic panoramas… For the fans of sports, you will be able to parasel, fly in deltaplane or Ulm, going down rivers in rafting or canoe, etc…
